No matter what the fat rodent sees, we are still going to get about six weeks more of winter.  It might be a little milder, it might be a little colder, but (unless you live in the sun belt) spring will not happen until about six weeks from now.

And the same goes for and predictions from Punxsutawney Phil.

Update:  Phil did not see his shadow, so we are (supposedly) getting an early spring.  The media of course never questions this.
